Another National Meeting, Another Great Day
Over 40 members travelled from all over the UK and everyone had a great time. Undeterred by the weather the day was a great success. Our speaker Val Todd from John Moores University, presented an excellent memorable talk on her ongoing work on the psychological implications of bariatric surgery.
Val was presented with a small token of our appreciation everyone was really grateful she had given up part of her weekend to join us.
The issues she raised struck chords with many and people will talk about it for long afterwards. You can help Val by completing her questionairre available via the forums.
We split into four groups and enjoyed the usual blend of support information and shared laughter. New to this meeting was a plastic surgery discussion.
The evening was a great success with Disco Buffet and even some merriment.
The youngsters hit the night clubs and I am sure there were some tired people the next day.
